Laboratory

Presentation

The LURPA - University Research Laboratory in Automated Production - created in 1981, is a research team of the Ministry of Higher Education and Research, under the supervision of the École normale supérieure Paris-Saclay and the University of Paris-Saclay.

Research Themes

The LURPA conducts research on the design of products, on manufacturing processes, and on the safe control of discrete event systems.

The researches carried out at the laboratory aim for scientific excellence and consist of developing models, methods and tools to answer scientific, technological and societal problems. It is based on high-level theoretical developments and validations on experimental platforms (numerical or physical).

Our partners

We have have strong relationships with major French industrial groups (Airbus, EDF, Safran, Renault, Dassault Systèmes, etc.) but also with SMEs (Missler software, Spring Technology) or VSEs (Lithias) in the transport industry, software, energy production and health sectors.

National and international collaborations

Finally, the laboratory is part of a network of national and international collaborations via learned societies such as IEEE, IFAC, CIRP, etc. The LURPA is also a member of the Farman Institute, a multidisciplinary institute that brings together five engineering science laboratories of ENS Paris-Saclay.
